Summer Book Club

Summer reading

The first meeting of my daughter's summer book club is underway, and I’ve been banished from the area. Slightly bruised ego aside, I have no worries. In fact, it’s great to watch her growing into her independence, navigating her surroundings and relationships on her own. Besides, with my son off at a friend's house, this "big girl" is looking forward to catching up on her own summer reading list!

On a blanket tucked somewhere in the shade of our backyard sit five little girls with a stack of carefully selected books.
