SwallowtailWith school out for the summer and a little extra time on our hands, the kids and I have headed into the city to visit my sister.

And while the kids are, of course, happy to visit their aunt, they're really excited to see how the butterfly garden we had planted on her balcony is coming along.

It's amazing to see the transformation. Just a couple of months ago, the balcony was a collection of pots and planters filled with tender young plants -- or, in some cases, just soil and seeds.
